Lay-Bys

VFABasia is excited to offer you the option to Lay-By your purchase. Lay-By allows you to make a purchase using one down payment and up to two additional monthly instalments to complete your purchase. Delivery of your order will only occur once the final instalment is paid.

Why Lay-By?

The Lay-By payment method makes it easy for you to buy products that you need by paying for them via a down-payment and monthly instalments. Purchasing via Lay-By makes your shopping affordable, convenient, flexible and offers you a choice of payment instalment options.

Affordable – You can select the down-payment and instalments you can afford to complete your payment.

Convenience – Payments are set up between you and VFABasia based on your requirements and on our Lay-By terms.

Flexible – You can settle a Lay-By order at any given time.

Is Lay-By instalment payment method safe?

You may make payments via an online EFT or a bank deposit into our business account.
Your invoice will reflect the bank details together with your Lay-By order number.

Please note: We will not accept any Lay-By payments on the VFABasia website and should you choose to transact via the www.VFABasia.com it will be treated as a standard purchase and not considered a Lay-By purchase.

How does Lay-By work?

Should you wish to purchase your products on Lay-By, contact us via our ‘Get in Touch’ page on the website or send an e-mail to store@VFABasia.com,
We will send you a Lay-By order form via e-mail.
Browse the VFABasia website VFABasia.com and select the items you wish to purchase.
Complete the Lay-By order form and e-mail back to us at store@VFABasia.com
We will, based on the order request, send you a quotation with a detailed breakdown of your monthly costs over a 3 month period. You must confirm acceptance of the quotation via e-mail.
Once we receive your e-mail confirmation, we will send you an invoice detailing our banking details and your Lay-By order number.
You must make payment within three working days of receiving the Lay-By invoice.
You must pay only the down-payment portion as your first payment and don’t forget to quote your Lay-By order number as your payment reference.
Your payment once received will stand as confirmation of acceptance of our Invoice and all terms and conditions applicable to Lay-By purchases.
Should we not receive your payment within 3 working days, the items held against your order number/invoice will no longer be reserved and may be sold.
Non-payment within 3 working days will nullify the invoice and Lay-By order.
Remaining payments will be processed according to the scheduled payment milestones as per the quotation.
The product will be shipped once the final payment is made.

How do I ensure that all Lay-By instalment payments have been received by VFABasia?

We will send you a confirmation via e-mail once we have received bank confirmation and this could take between 3-5 working days.

Can I settle my Lay-By purchase earlier?

To settle your Lay-By purchase earlier, you can e-mail us at store@VFABasia.com and we will issue you with a final invoice reflecting the settlement amount due for payment.

What happens if I miss a payment?

We will inform you should we not receive your payment on the agreed upon payment date.

You will have 2 working days within which to issue the payment. Should you fail to make the extended payment deadline, your order will be cancelled due to you being in breach.

Please note that the handling fee and cancellation fee will be deducted from any amounts owed to you.

Will I be told about a missed payment?

Yes we will inform you if there is a missed payment.

Can I see my payment plan?

Your payment plan will be reflected on your Quotation.

Are there any interest charges?

No, there are no interest charges whatsoever!

Are there any ongoing costs?

There are no ongoing costs, only a once-off handling fee of 10% of the cost of goods which is charged as part of your first instalment.

Are there any cancellation fees applicable if I fail to complete the Lay-By instalments?

Yes, a standard cancellation fee of R100 will be charged and will be deducted from any amounts owed to you.
